Transcribed for double bass and piano by Frantisek Simandl, this is the second of 3 nocturnes composed in 1831-32.

Originally for piano, this is a tasteful, effective and virtuosic transcription for the advanced bassist, and is part of Recital Music's ongoing series of 'Heritage Publications'. Ideal for any bassist confident in the solo register of the instrument, with musical and technical challenges aplenty.

Suitable for any occasion or audience. This edition includes piano accompaniments for both solo and orchestral tunings. Recorded by Miloslav Jelinek.
