The Transcriptions Series series

Recital Music publish a wealth of original works for double bass alongside a popular, accessible and growing range of transcriptions for bassists of all ages and abilities. Most transcriptions published by Recital Music are by David Heyes, who has a successful and proven track record when arranging for double bass.

A selection of short inventive trios for the good intermediate bass trio. In score format - 3 scores included - these are useful as concert or study repertoire and have been very successful in performance.

Holborne's Gush forth, my tears is a glorious example of the late 16th-century English madrigal; Sneg Udaril is a Macedonian folksong full of great energy and rhythmic spirit; the Largo from Vivaldi's Concerto for 2 cellos transcribes well, as does Handel's Pastoral Symphony from Messiah, and Salieri's Canon is produced in three keys. Something for all tastes and ideal for any audience or occasion.
