Congregational with optional choral harmony, this Mass, set by Peter Rose to the new English translation, has recently been approved by the Bishops' Conference of Scotland and the ICEL, Washington. The Mass and its accompanying Hymn (The Peace of God) were written in honour of the sixth century Irish missionary, St.Cairell, who founded the sacred site of Cille Choirill in the Braes of Lochaber in the West Highlands of Scotland.
