This is an excellent example of one of the best saxophones to come out of post war Paris. A contemporary of the Selmer Company, Dolnet made some great saxes between the 1900's and the 1960's. Though there is little information available, its serial number (20539) dates it around 1948. It has its original silver plating which is relatively intact and has just been refurbished by Graham de Vere White in Hitchin. It plays really well and I would highly recommend a visit to try this out before it goes.
