Fun and Games with the Recorder - Dotty's Notebook

A manuscript book to accompany the superb tutor series "Fun and Games with the Recorder" Fun and Games with the Recorder is a beginner's recorder tutor for children from around six years of age.

It is intended for use with individuals and with groups, although the main emphasis is on group work. The delightful character Dotty-do-a-lot leads the children through the book, introducing new notes and new elements of music. This method deals with the basic concepts of music tuition and the introduction of instrumental techniques in a practical and musical way. Additionally, the goal of the course is to create the basis for recorder playing of the highest quality and thus through the learning process awaken and promote the joy of music making and the musical experience.

Tutor Book 2 adds the notes C1, D1, F1, E2, F2 and B flat, whilst Tutor Book 3 completes the range up to C3 at which point the treble recorder can be introduced. Dotty's Note Book is specially designed with large staves suitable for children as well as plain pages for words and pictures.
