This expressive and colourful song for SATB and piano is a setting of a poem of Robert Bridges with a Christian message which is suitable for concert and church performance. It was first performed, in its original SSAA version, by its commissioners, the Newstead Singers (director Lesley Cooper) at their 40th anniversary concert in 2012.
