Sheila Nelson Ensemble Book 1
Score and Parts - 4-8 Strings with Piano ad lib.
Eight simple pieces for elementary string quartets or string orchestras of up to eight parts. A piano part can be used to fill in for any missing players. Designed to give beginners their first taste of group playing.
Includes an optional very-easy violin part (open strings or first fingers only), ideas for simple percussion and singing are also given. Once the book is purchased, parts are photocopiable!
The notes and rhythms used correspond to the "Essential String Method" books 1-3, making these ideal for use alongside the method, but can also be used independently. If using alongside, players should be on Book 2 of the method before tackling these ensemble pieces.
