In order to achieve the goals set out in the National Literacy Framework document for word level work, young children need plenty of opportunities to explore, to become aware of, and to learn to recognise the sounds that make up words, whilst having fun with language. The aim of this book, is to do just that. Through the medium of songs and rhymes, it aims to develop an awareness of onset and time.
