Just gorgeous! This exceptional work by Mozart, usually so complicated to assemble (all those basset horns, apart from anything else) is instantly accessible with just a plain old wind quintet. John Whitfield's arrangement is sensitive and musical, giving everyone plenty – but not too much – to do. I can't think of a more satisfying piece to play as a quintet. The edition is excellent too, on good quality paper with clear printing and no mistakes. Well done to Phylloscopus Publications.
