50 Graded studies for recorder (Descant) brings together a broad range of repertoire spanning three centuries with studies by Fetzen, van Eyck, Hotteterre, Widmann, Hinke, de Boismortier, Playford, Aubert, Prill, Demersseman, Gariboldi, Köhler, Wiedemann, Freillon-Poncein, Chédeville, Tulou, Blatt, Naudot, Dôthel, Telemann and Kuhlau.

Also included are a number of specially composed pieces by Sally Adams and Paul Harris.

The book is progressive and studies are arranged in order of difficulty spanning from a preparatory level to around Grade five standard.
