The Play The Piano series

Most piano tutors appear to be aimed at either nursery school children or at whizz kids, rushing too quickly from section to section. This one is aimed at those who want to learn the piano at a steady pace.

Even the best tutors tend to use over familiar repertoire - Mozart minuets, Beethoven sonatinas and various Czerny exercises. My decision to write virtually all of the musical material in books 1 and 2 was not so much an ego trip, as an attempt to lighten up the proceedings.

Reviews

...there is a need for something that goes at this pace and the information you have so clearly laid out can be checked again and again until it is digested...Illustrations are fun and so well balanced with the
music. There is an amazing variety of music within your chosen range. This should appeal to quite a spectrum of would-be learners.
