Until You're Safely Home was premiered by The Middle Wallop Military Wives Choir at The Anvil, Basingstoke on Saturday 16 March 2013, conducted by Fiona Clarke. The music is poignant and touching, accessible and audience-friendly and here are few technical challenges, making it suitable for most female choirs. The feedback from the premiere has been amazing...

The composer writes: 'Without doubt, the best moment for any composer is when he gets to hear his music performed live. When that performance is delivered with emotional depth and sincerity the result becomes even more special. For the premiere of my new song "Until You're Safely Home" on the 16th of March, at the Anvil Theatre in Basingstoke, the Middle Wallop Military Wives Choir turned in just such a performance. It was a privilege for me to hear it sung so beautifully, and I extend my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all concerned.'

Comments from sone of the performers include:

'It was an honour to sing such a beautiful song and I have to say, my favourite piece of the night.'

'Lovely, lovely song, thank you'

'A privilege for us to get to sing it too'

'You captured the thoughts and feelings of so many of us with the words, a very special moment for us all , thank you for letting us sing such a wonderful piece'

'This is my favourite song of all, it makes me well up every time we sing it. It's so beautiful and true to every word, this song really is a fantastic representation of how we feel as military wives every time we say goodbye for a while. Just perfect, thank you Richard Storry for giving us the opportunity to sing such wonderful words to a very beautiful piece of music.'

'A true composer - has understood the feelings, the courage and the voice parts to express the marvellous words.
Thank you.'
