Before the Paling of the Stars is a new and evocative work which should appeal to choirs of all ages and abilities. There are opportunities to feature each group of singers, possibly also solos, and the simple and gently falling arpeggio accompaniment creates an atmospheric background against which the lyrical melodies are contrasted.
