The Transcriptions Series series
Recital Music publish a wealth of original works for double bass alongside a popular, accessible and growing range of transcriptions for bassists of all ages and abilities. Most transcriptions published by Recital Music are by David Heyes, who has a successful and proven track record when arranging for double bass.
This popular polka transcribes well for double bass quartet and is very effective in performance. It was recorded by Bassiona Amorosa in Germany, although the arrangement was not credited to David Heyes or Recital Music, and this is a fun piece and ideal for any audience or occasion.
It can be played by quartet or massed basses and will be a toe-tapping delight for any audience. Much to enjoy for each player.
"Meant to be played at a blistering tempo, performers must have good off-the-string bow technique, be able to handle fast sixteenth runs, and occasional double-stops...very exciting and would make a great encore." (ISB)
