The entry-level Yamaha Professional flute is the 500 series, which offers a handcrafted finish combined with a precious metal headjoint, silver plated body and keys, and an exceptionally high quality of workmanship and finish.

The 500 series offers the player a handcrafted flute in a very good value for money package. With the precious metal headjoint and the body made from a high quality nickel silver this offers the player a warmer sound than most but still free blowing and comfortable to play.

The 5, 6 and 7 series have different embouchure hole designs to the 4 series and below. Designed to give a full warm tone with good projection.
