The output of Gottfried Finger (ca 1656-1730), a native of Olomouc, includes many sonatas and trio sonatas for a variety of melody instruments and basso continuo. Many of these compositions were published within Finger's lifetime.
Sonata in F major was published as a part of the collection of ten sonatas for recorder and basso continuo op.3 in Amsterdam around the year 1700.
This edition is based on the only available copy of the original held by King�s College, Cambridge. It has been edited and the basso continuo elaborated by Miloslav Klement.
