This companion volume to Pass Grade 5 Theory was published in response to a request from a school which now uses it as a class text-book for their Year 8 pupils. This book can be used as a stand-alone theory course for those who only wish to study to the level of Associated Board Grade 3 theory examination. Although the Grade 5 book is designed to provide a complete course from scratch, this new publication can, if desired, be used as a companion volume, providing extra exercises and reinforcement of basic concepts which are expanded upon and studied to greater depth in the Grade 5 book ..
