Divertimento, used in the English sense of "to divert" that is, to entertain. This fulfils the main tenets of my musical credo; it must please both performers and listeners. The work was written at the request of Mr. Bodo Koenigsbeck (i.e. persistent nagging) for the 10th Anniversary of the Berliner Fagottquartett.
